Welcome, New Board Members!
Youth With Faces is pleased to announce the addition of three new executives to the Board of Directors. Scott Becker, Vanessa Cole and Steve Petersen join a talented team of leaders who provide their expertise to ensure Youth With Faces’ success. Along with the rest of the board, these professionals recently helped Youth With Faces develop a new strategic plan. Read below to learn more about Scott, Vanessa and Steve.
Scott Becker
Partner, McCathern, PLLC
With over 20 years of legal experience, Scott works on cases in Family Law, Criminal Defense and Civil Litigation. He previously served as a judge with the Collin County 219th Judicial District Court for eight years. He has joined the board to assist Youth With Faces with expansion to other North Texas counties and help more young people develop skills for success. In his free time, Scott enjoys narrative nonfiction and podcasts by Malcom Gladwell.

 

Vanessa Cole
Manager, PwC Dallas
Vanessa serves as the U.S. firm liaison for three proprietary PwC products. With a PhD in Psychology, she has always had a passion for helping children and is excited to support Youth With Faces with an evidence-based approach to achieving goals. Vanessa has written several papers on the effects of juvenile incarceration and previously volunteered on judicial committees. She enjoys singing and is member-at-large of the International award-winning Rich Tones Chorus.
Steve Petersen
Tax Director, PwC Dallas
Steve oversees several engagement teams at PwC serving publicly and privately held companies. As a board member, he hopes to help justice-involved young people gain the skills and experiences they need to thrive as adults. He serves on the Advisory Board for James Madison High School P-Tech Academy and volunteers with PwC’s Step Up Pathways to Profession program that helps girls prepare for college. He and his wife also foster homeless dogs.
