Culinary Interns Shine at Chefs For Farmers
It’s been a wonderful year filled with new opportunities for youth in the juvenile justice system. Through programs like Career Readiness, Culinary Arts, PREP Dog Training and Welding Technology, Youth With Faces participants learn career and life skills that set them on a path toward a positive and self-sufficient future. We appreciate the generosity of our donors and volunteers this year. You’ve had a tremendous impact on the future of the young people we serve.
A highlight of the year was working the Chefs For Farmers food festival with our fall culinary interns. Six young men participated in an apprenticeship that culminated on November 3 at the food festival. The group was led by Chefs Scott Tobey and Aaron Courtney who spent a month teaching the students how to prepare a cauliflower tostada topped with jalapeño tomato jam, pickled vegetables and Profound micro greens.
